Soy Wax Melts or Candles?

I would guess you might know where I stand on the 'Wax Melts or Candles' decision! Here is why my answer is Soy Wax Melts every time!

Wax Melts or Candles?

I feel wax melts are a wonderful home fragrance alternative to candles and have many more benefits!

Expensive candles can be disappointing, whereas a much less expensive soy wax melt is not only cheaper, than for example a Jo Malone Candle at £50, but the price point gives you the opportunity to chop and change your mind on the scents you want to experience. I really enjoy changing fragrances depending upon my mood. Zen Garden for a bit of yoga, Peony Blooms and Jasmine in the living room and Eucalyptus, Sea Fennel and Cypress in the downstairs loo! I love experiencing room fragrance in different areas of my home and of course having plenty of quality room scent profiles makes it an easy choice for me!

Each Galgorm Melts 50g soy wax melt snap bar, should last 20 hours plus, not many candles have this burning and fragrance power! Soy wax melts also burn for longer than traditional candles and they don't get as hot. Botanicals feature heavily in my soy wax melts, something you couldn't experience in a candle, as a tea light will only ever warm the soy wax, therefore the botanicals are in no danger of overheating! I have included homegrown botanicals in all of my soy wax melts, with properties particular to the scent profile, for example in Fresh Irish Linen I have enhanced the fragrance with Nigella seeds, known for their antibacterial properties. No nasties, glitter or colour!

Finally, as wax melts don't have the big price tag, you won't have the disappointment when the candle fragrance disappears before the wick is fully burned or that you've become nose blind (you know the advert) to the scent! I have definitely had my fair share of candles that didn't hold their fragrance, had harsh, artificial smells and didn't burn well. I have also had the pleasure of washing down the inside of my kitchen windows when trying to work out why they were so dirty! In my defense, it wasn't that I hadn't been keeping up with the housework, it was more a case of the commercial candles I was burning were giving off a harmful black soot. The culprit was discolouring my windows, walls and of course, I was breathing this in too! My final point here is, that soy wax in all of its forms, is a much better home fragrance alternative to paraffin candles and soy wax melts are definitely, in my opinion, the best home fragrance choice for premium fragrance, botanical qualities and an environmentally friendly product which gives value for money!

There is so much information out there, so I recommend do some research when choosing between Wax Melts or Candles, then like me, clean your windows and buy some of Galgorm Melts' Soy Wax Melts!!

Happy Melting xx
