Set in the grounds of the beautifully restored Houston’s Mill, Broughshane, we invite you to celebrate the arrival of autumn with an evening of scent, illustration, and creativity. Whether you come along solo for some well-deserved "me time", or join with friends for a memorable girls’ night, this extra-special workshop offers the perfect chance to slow down, connect, and get creative in a cosy and welcoming setting. Expect warm vibes, new faces, and plenty of laughter.

As part of the creative workshop, you’ll enjoy an illustration masterclass with Award-Winning Illustrator Lauren Kelso where you'll be guided through exploring her ink and cocktail stick drawing technique alongside using collage and other seasonal materials to create original artwork, suitable for all abilities. Your illustrations will then be made into a set of x4 circle or square coasters and beautifully wrapped in a gift box — perfect for you to use at home or gift to others during the cosy autumnal season. Following the workshop, your coasters will then be ready for collection from Lauren’s Shop & Studio premises in Raceview Mill and delivery can be arranged if required.

Then, Lucinda from Galgorm Melts, will guide you on a fragrant journey into the art of her Award-Winning wax melt craft. In this hands-on experience, you’ll begin by exploring a curated selection of essential oils, thoughtfully chosen to reflect the richness of the autumn season. You’ll learn how to blend your own signature scent, balancing top, heart, and base notes to create a fragrance that’s uniquely yours. Develop your pouring skills, mastering techniques that ensure a smooth, long-lasting melt. You’ll also add a touch of nature, incorporating locally foraged seasonal botanicals — think dried petals, leaves, and spices — to beautifully embellish your creation. Finally, you can design your own personalised label, making your finished piece not just a treat for the senses, but a truly one-of-a-kind artisan gift, perfect for a present or enjoying at home as the nights draw in.
